A Misty Morning - Interpretation by TJ

Misty morning
Missed you this morning.
Spider made a web and now it's full of gems.
Thought of our tangled mess:
How we could make it beautiful if we tried our best.

Grass is refreshed
I'd bottle each drop of dew to give to you
Just to prove...just to prove...
Well
Something symbolic anyway
Like it's not all bad when the sun is delayed
Because soon those rays will burn up a brighter day.
But I'm afraid that's all I know how to say
My metaphors might never afford the price you pay for their mistakes

We are like a misty morning
A simile I use similarly to the metaphor before
As in
Sometime's it's hard to see what we could potentially be.
Cold but not froze, there's hope
When it's all lifted
I might find your hand
So when the next mist persists
I know where you are
And together, we can start

  1. I really liked the hope you give out in your poem TJ. Especially so in times where things are vey difficult you remind us of the fact that there will be calm after the storm or as you say a brighter day after the mist. Its easy to lose sight of this but you portray it in such a beautiful way, that hopefully can provide comfort to a person who reads your poem. I also like the way you have so naturally changed to poem to something the reader can really relate to. Where you write" I'd bottle each drop of dew to give to you//Just to prove...just to prove...//Well//Something symbolic anyway" really makes me feel like I have just said that. Which in itself is an impossibility but a great literary device nonetheless. Also welcome back:) Great post! also great theme!
