A Misty Morning - An Interpretation by Jean Marco

Mouth breathes as a child's exhalation
Colliding inside the window to the world
It's expected to go, to dissipate, to show
It stays and distorts your view

Hand wipes in an attempt to see
Smearing then clearing this see-through canvas
It's supposed to portray, to relay state of play
Yet the vapour remains clouding your view

Eye looks out through the morning mist
With difficulty finding shape and form
It cannot define or refine, nor underline
The mist makes it hard to see

Body shivers as it enters the mist
Taking comfort in the protection upon it
The day has begun, the mist soon will be gone
To return another day or morning

A Misty Morning - Interpretation by TJ

Misty morning
Missed you this morning.
Spider made a web and now it's full of gems.
Thought of our tangled mess:
How we could make it beautiful if we tried our best.

Grass is refreshed
I'd bottle each drop of dew to give to you
Just to prove...just to prove...
Well
Something symbolic anyway
Like it's not all bad when the sun is delayed
Because soon those rays will burn up a brighter day.
But I'm afraid that's all I know how to say
My metaphors might never afford the price you pay for their mistakes

We are like a misty morning
A simile I use similarly to the metaphor before
As in
Sometime's it's hard to see what we could potentially be.
Cold but not froze, there's hope
When it's all lifted
I might find your hand
So when the next mist persists
I know where you are
And together, we can start

A Misty Morning-Take By Gio

Your soft hue caresses my eyes,
Your frivolity is beautiful.
No one tells you when to come,
when to go,
when there will be dew,
when you'll bring snow.
A law unto yourself but you aren't a rebel
And yet you still liberate me
Cut me free from the chains of the mundane
Like a friend you come bearing gifts
Inspiring me to bring out the depths of imagination
Do you come alone?
Or do you bring the smells and sounds of life?
Are you quiet and serene?
Or does energy course through you?
You fuel my brain
Excite my senses
Refresh the soul

New Theme

To help get the creative juices flowing TJ and Gio have thought to set a theme for the forum to think and create around. This helps give writing a bit of direction but also makes it an interesting exercise, as we will see how different people's perceptions are of the same concept. The theme for now as set by TJ is "A Misty Morning".
If you would like to contribute the forum would love to hear from you.
However don't feel pressured to stick to this theme, have fun.

New Beginnings

It has been a very quiet year for the Forum this year unfortunately, mostly due to its many members being quite busy and such. However it would be such a waste for all the hard work that has gone into the site to go in vain. Many people have expressed a creative side that would have remained hidden from most of their friends on this site and the effort, time and energy should not be forgotten. We have had some really beautiful pieces shown to the world here in the past but there is no reason why it can't continue on into the future. December 2011 will mark the 2nd year anniversary of this site and we say bring it on. So let us get pen to paper, camera to beauty, brush to canvas etc anything to celebrate our creative side. One day hopefully we can look back on the forum and let it bring a smile to our faces knowing we brought something different and individual. So today marks a new beginning. Not to forget the past but embrace the future.
