Here I sit, invisible to the world
The solitary sound of the couples whispering
Fills my head with ideas of a different life,
Sitting Somewhere else
On the vast furniture of the world,
Their tresspasses, thier faults
All revealed over the froathing of a minature sea,
Sitiing, waiting, musing
All with an air of proprity and grace,
Their thoughts aloud for anyone to read
With a baited ear, I am here
Ready to guide the misfortunes of others
My knowledge my wisdom my time
If only they would listen, if only they could see
The one the lonely the little old me.
Here I am, sitting invisible to the world.
"Their thoughts aloud for anyone to read"
ReplyDeleteI really love this line in that it expresses your sentiments on several planes of application. Thoughts go from being mental and private, to being aloud as if speech then again change to written form in that its available to read. Very creative indeed and a great piece for your first addition in what i hope will be of many more to come. A very warm welcome to the Freedom Forum Jeremy Bull
The simple depth of this piece is something to fall in love with. It’s not hard to understand (when you’re a coffee shop addict) yet there is so much in it. The first line about sitting invisible sets the scene and for the rest of the poem we are taken on a journey of thoughts, to be brought back to reality at the very end. Reminded we only sit and we are invisible. It's amazing what worlds you can create from the lives of others. Thank you for sharing.
